What the Bible says about godly wisdom

Proverbs 9:10

The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

1 Corinthians 2:6-7

We speak wisdom, however, among those who are full grown; yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nothing. But we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds for our glory,

Colossians 2:2-3

that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden.

James 1:5

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.

Proverbs 8:11

For wisdom is better than rubies. All the things that may be desired can’t be compared to it.

Deuteronomy 4:6

Psalm 111:10

The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

Proverbs 14:12

Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth.
